EPW - Dean, Nelson St't, City Road, London, lever fusee, 50mm, 18K gold OF original pair cases bearing London hallmarks for 1812, incuse "WB" marking possibly for casemaker William Boulton, "Patent 951" marked cream colored enamel dial, KWKS, Massey 5 lever escapement with capped escape wheel, diamond endstone, gilt mvt with engraved balance cock marked "Patent" to its foot and with a serpent on its table, signed gilt locking dust-cap, s#931. Gross weight of assembled watch 100.2 dwt (155.9 g). Comes with a key.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, some scratches and fine scratches, dust-cap spring missing slide pin at center; flawless dial; excellent hour and seconds-hand, mismatched minute hand with some bends; outer case shows light wear, small and mild crease type dent and few associated dings toward right rear perimeter, ding to lower left rear perimeter, button latch good; inner case shows light wear, few scuffs to rear near center, few scattered dings to rear, some denting to right side edge, hinge pin is protruding a bit at right side and protruding portion is bent slightly out and bent; bow pivots freely; good domed glass crystal.
